I was invited to a Boarding Area conference in Colorado Springs, which is a points and miles blogger seminar.  I was thrilled to be invited and to know that I was going to be staying at the famous Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs known as the “Grand Dame of the Rockies”.  The Broadmoor is a 5 star, 5 diamond luxury hotel, which is right up my alley.  And so the excitement began.

“What?  Prince Harry is coming to town?  on the exact same weekend that I am going to be there?”  “How cool is that?”  “I’ll get a photograph of him.”

But “NO”, soon enough, the announcement came, “My venue has been moved to the Cheyenne Mountain Resort.”

It was with good reason, as he was coming to Colorado for the Warriors Games, a cycling event for wounded military personnel.  To me, nothing could be cooler than that!  Thanks, Harry!

The seminar was held at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort and truly they could not have been more gracious.  This is a resort that is tucked away against a mountain backdrop with rooms that were designed to provide a view for each and every guest.  They provided service that was outstanding, so if you end up in Colorado Springs, you will not be disappointed by this Rocky Mountain dream.

While I was there, there was a promotion going on for Mother’s Day weekend:

Mom and Me Escape for only $89

Rate Inclusions: • Waived Resort Fee ($18.00 per night value) • Upgrade to Next Available Room Type • Guaranteed 2 pm Late Check-Out • Personalized Mother’s Day “Mom” cookie

I went by myself, but the Mom and Me Escape pricing worked for me, so be sure and check their promo page if you are interested in booking.  I believe this would qualify for what I call “value luxury”.
