Wow! Who would have ever thought of this? A place where they serve, you guessed it, CHEESE! Cheese, cheese everywhere. Cheese fries, grilled cheese sandwiches, nachos, mac and cheese, cheese fondue, and the list goes on and on! The whole concept of the little tiny eatery is to combine different types of cheeses from around the world and serve all of them, ones that don’t typically go together in our minds, but they do great in our mouths!
I found myself at this cute little place in Toronto, Canada called Cheesewerks. It is truly a unique type of lunch place to satisfy even the most finicky eaters. Oh, but there is more…
The owner Kevin Durkee and his buddy, The Travel Broker, have put together a tour to try a cheese inspired, 7 night trip through Europe that includes a few of Europe’s most dynamic and well know cheese crafters:
The trip includes visits to the iconic Cheese towns of Gouda, Edam and Beemster in Holland, as well as many towns you may have never heard of. It all sounds like a lot of fun to me, so check out their page for more detailed information. Be sure to use your points to fly to AMS and out of CDG, probably on American Airlines, as they allow for one ways and multi city flights. The time of year is September, so the weather should be nice.
Disclaimer: My munchies were provided by Kevin Durkee of Cheesewerks as a travel blogger staying at #bloghouse and I really appreciate it! Opinions about his food are strictly my own!
I do want to mention that he seems like a guy that is passionate about what he does down to the simplest and finest details, a kind of guy you would want to tour with in Europe for learning the state of the art latest details of cheese making and in my case, cheese eating!
